The complete record of the transactions of the local advocacy association covering the period 22 July, 1929 until 9 December, 1999. These are the minutes of meetings held to establish a working committee to superintend matters connected with the aims of the IEE to progress the work of local associations at the state level. It was significant that at the meeting of 22 July, 1929, it was decided that a Local Committee of four members should act in concert with the Local Honourary Secretary and Treasurer. It was also decided that these five members should represent the five main streams: Consulting Engineers; Railways and Tramways; Power and Lighting; Telegraphs and Telephones; and Educational. Appreciation was also expressed of the aims of the Institution in London to stimulate the activities of the overseas Local Advisory Commitees working with each of the State Secretaries.
